shoe materials
Dongjin Textile’s global competitiveness originates from R&D and its continuous technological innovation. Textiles have traditionally been used extensively in footwear, particularly in athletic shoes, as they allow for the implementation of various designs and patterns in addition to offering functional excellence such as outstanding strength relative to their light weight and elasticity for foot comfort. Dongjin Textile has been devoted to the development of knitted fabric structures and designs for decades. We have focused our R&D and continuous technological innovation on expanding footwear materials beyond traditional textile concepts. Our products have been continuously developed through long-term collaborations with world-leading brands, reflecting our ongoing efforts to discover new materials and lead emerging trends.
No Design Limits No Design Limits
Knit fabrics, traditionally thought to have limitations in pattern implementation due to being made from a single strand of yarn, are approached differently by Dongjin Textile. We believe that design has no limits. To best realize the designs our customers want, Dongjin Textile has introduced jacquard equipment and is continuously developing a wider range of knit fabrics with diverse designs. Not only do we leverage our technological expertise, but we also go a step further by integrating and developing processes from various industrial fields. As a result of our commitment and investment in development, we supply jacquard fabrics to global brands and apply technologies such as embossing, embroidery, PU coating, and printing to a variety of products.
Challenging Extreme Environments
Textiles should contribute to the functionality of footwear. Among the textiles we wear, those used in shoes are exposed to the harshest environments. For running, shoes need to be lightweight and durable, while sports like basketball or soccer require special structures or strengths to achieve optimal performance. In mountainous and harsh environments, shoes may need to protect the feet from external contaminants. For comfortable every day wear, textiles must provide the right amount of elasticity to keep the feet comfortable. To maximize these functions, Dongjin Textile continuously develops processing technologies after researching materials and structures. As a result, we reliably produce textiles using PFC-free water repellents that are harmless to the environment, and we co-develop and manufacture yarns with HUVIS that are highly abrasion-resistant and resistant to staining. Research into textile structures for various required functions is ongoing.
